5: Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle

Three stories. One author i love, one whom i am iffy about, one unknown quantity .

It was surprisingly good. It was typical teen fluff, but it was HIGH quality teen fluff. It lacked the depth of say, Looking For Alaska, but you know, it was a major step up from Gossip Girl, and the like. I would recommend it. It is a good transition from reading fluffy romance novels to heavier books.

And it is about Christmas. And it is funny. So , get on it and READ.

4:Night by Elie Wiesel

So, this was a book my English teacher assigned for us, but told us to just read it. It is one of those books they make you read for school, but you actually really enjoy it. But that might have been because we didn’t have to over analyze it.
But then again, I am starting to enjoy critically reading books.
Anywho.
I really like to read about holocaust survivors, I find their journeys and stories very interesting.
This book was very moving and very enlightening.
It is amazing the things these people had to go through, but they still survived and speak about it today.

I highly recommend it. It is a easy read and it short.

3: The Catcher in the Rye

So, to further show my loyalty to John Green I read this book simply because he recommended it as part of hie "blurbing book club"

I enjoyed this book, but I think I did just because I really read it critically and has helped though it by a certain video blogger.

I thought it was well written, but it was kinda like walking in circles, he never really gets anywhere. But I am glad I read it. It was good and it was a good experience to further my understanding of literature.

Some times I wish my English teacher read this.

Because i think she would be a fan of that phrase.

2: Paper Towns by John Green

So today I am going to write about a bunch of books i have read recently.

But, they are not going to be in the order I read them, just how excited I am to write about them.

And this one is first.

Paper Towns Pictures, Images and Photos
Just to explain a bit of back story; this is by one of my favorite authors (which you will soon notice because three of the books i am reviewing today are by him...) and one of my favorite youtubers. Actually the entire REASON i spend even an ounce of time on youtube. Well, his constant excitement had made me SUPER psyched to get his book.

Thursday, when i got home from school, when my mom gave me the book, i started to jump up and down. and squeal. and make other noises that i am not sure can be registered by the normal human ear.

Mmmhm. So basically i was really excited for this book.

And it was as good as i thought it would be. It is as good as his other books (Looking for Alaska, and An Abundance of Katherines), if not better. I read it in bout four hours and loved every minute of it. One thing i really like about John Green is that he doesn't talk down to his reader. He, unlike many young adult authors, realizes that his audience are intelligent human beings who crave intelligent literature.

Paper Towns is about Quenten Jacobsen, a senior in high school who has long been in love with his next door neighbor, Margo Roth Speigelman. When she disappears the day after taking Quenten on a late-night adventure, he embarks on an adventure to discover where she has gone, fearing the worst. In the end the book tackles big issues and questions about people which many young adult authors attempt to avoid.

oops

So basically I have failed at this challenge.

BUT I WILL PREVAIL.
I am going to start back up again.
Even though I never really started in the first place...
